Video Presentation Notice

I decided to share this idea with the Covid Hackathon a few hours before deadline. Please forgive the plain nature of the video and somewhat thin presentation.

Inspiration

I sometimes have ideas but don't know how to push them to people that have the resources to implement them. I believe many people struggle to push their ideas in the real world.

What it does

Submission platform where anyone can post ideas, for any field, with keywords and media. On the other side, people can read the ideas and score them. There could be a sort of reversed tree, some gating pipeline, that allows to escalate the best ideas to the next node, where the actual scientific community can see highest scored ideas and contribute to push them up one more level, and so on. Just like Wikipedia (not my idea), the community contributes to pushing up ideas that can actually make a difference in the world.

How I built it

Platform agnostic, there is no coding challenge here, only architectural on a flow standpoint. Easy use ML to classify ideas and recognize patterns (while this can get complex, it is an eventual version that does some of the work automatically.)

Finding traction with entities who believe that there is something here, and assigning ressources and team-work this thing.

Flow

Think of a reverse distribution network. A soft drink factory, magically, is able to distribute every ounce of their juice to every fridge in the world (or so...) What if we could pump some juice BACK UP the network and into the factory. Well, think of the factory as the governments, leaders. Everyone and anyone could pump their idea into a gated tree where the community assures that great ideas find their way to those who can do something with them. At every node of the tree, there are field specific interested scientists-hobbyists contributing in scoring the ideas so that they climb up to the top. The first nodes of the push-up go-nogo gates could be everyone, anyone, field specific, geography related, ...

Summary

Basically a ML assisted, community driven, platform that serves as a idea juicer, to extract the best ideas coming from anyone... anywhere.
