Inspiration

We were trying to build something slightly useful as we are beginners when it comes to hackathons. We tried working with Reddit and Instagram's API.

What it does

It pulls png/jpeg posts from Reddit (sorts by posts that are hot, checks top 10 posts) and chooses an image that hasn't been posted to post onto a linked instagram account.

How we built it

We built it using python, some web scraping code, and we integrated the reddit and instagram API.

Challenges we ran into

Storing credentials in a JSON file (creds.json) might not be the most secure way to handle sensitive information like usernames and passwords.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We did it! We built something that works!

What we learned

We used API's for the first time.
