Inspiration

Nowadays, our lives are surrounded by all kinds of colorful things, from the time we wake up in the morning to the time we go to bed. Sometimes, we may tire of all this dazzling color. There was a time I was feeling a headache from the notification red spots popping out on the phone. I tried to turn my phone's screen color to grey, no other color anymore. After keeping this for several days, I went out of the symptom. That's why I came up with the idea to build this pencil sketch drawing tool.

What it does

My pencil sketch generator can create a pencil sketch drawing based on the text input from the user. The more detailed we describe, the more exquisite it will be.

How I built it

I built it with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Supabase.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge I encountered was the process of interaction between the user interface and the backend database, as I am not familiar with database operations, especially with the integration of Next.js.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

As I write this text, I am proud of the tool I built. It may not make me any money, but through the process of building it, I really gained a lot. During that time, I usually worked until 2-3 o'clock in the morning.

What I learned

I learned how to integrate the Next.js code with the backend database. I also gained some experience in user demand research.

What's next for Pencil Sketch Generator: Make Creative Sketch Drawing

Next, I am going to make the Pencil Sketch Generator more user-friendly and easier for users to access. I may also add some more functions to it.
