Inspiration
We all love games, and we wanted to make something fun to play. Every creator in this group has a passion for gaming, and we wanted to express that into the project. Especially 2D action-based games that consist of challenging platforms and fast pace gameplay.
What it does
Hosted on a webpage, it's a competitive local co-op game. Two players can play Pencil Pushers as they battle to defeat their enemies by hitting them till they have 0 health.
How I built it
We used Unity2D, utilizing C#. Art was made using illustrator, and animated using Adobe Aftereffects. We then deployed a WebGL platform on a webpage hosted by one of the team members.
Challenges I ran into
Debugging the player movements , importing to the web, github errors, and other coding logic problems.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Everyone became better game developers today, our knowledge on c# increased immensely. We grew as a strong team, and learned about our capabilities in coding.
What I learned
C# and how to animate using Unity2D and Adobe After Effect. Also, how to deploy WebGL platforms.
What's next for Pencil Pushers
We might expand the games mechanics and levels in the future. It's has a strong basis for a fun party game.
