Inspiration
We were inspired by the opportunity to connect local people and tourists with an application that improves traffic safety and serves reindeer herders.
What it does
Our application offers you reindeer notifications, a map, weather information, an interactive game and information about experiential services on one platform.
How we built it
We devised a business model in cooperation with the team, which we improved based on the jury's feedback. Building the app is in the next step.
Challenges we ran into
We had a lot of great ideas and the most challenging thing was to limit the number of ideas.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the business model of our gamified application, which, in addition to improving traffic safety, provides a platform to connect local service providers and travelers in a mutually beneficial way. We are happy about the application, which has the opportunity to develop to support tourism in Lapland and to expand it into an application that supports tourism even more widely.
What we learned
We learn solution-oriented digital business model planning and value proposition thinking. We also learned how challenging it is to design an application that takes all components into account with sufficient accuracy.
What's next for Pelasta Petteri - Save Rudolph
Next, the opinions of the Hackathon judges will be heard, and after that there will be the opportunity to continue developing the idea with the coders and planning the funding application with the economics students.
