Inspiration

Being lonely in college and covid prevented people from meeting each other face-to-face and making friends that can go to different places together and share interests, maybe watching a new movie.

What it does

This web app is intended to help people make friends based on their hobbies, interests, areas of research/study, and many more.

How we built it

We used flask and VScode to edit and run our code. We were all new to flask and wanted to challenge ourselves by making a website using python instead of a static website via html and javascript. We watched many youtube videos to set up our environment and do small webpages before starting our main webpage.

Challenges we ran into

We attempted to use git to share the files between each of the members' computers, but the differences that we had between mac and windows had made it very difficult to cooperate between each other.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to get the github to work, and found a solution using the terminal.

What we learned

We learned more about how to use python to make a website via flask and some of our members learned about bootstrap 5, html, css and webpages in general.
