Inspiration

We were inspired by personal experiences that led to us to seek greater community within our student body, especially making it so that we are working with each other rather than against each other.

What it does

PeerPower allows students to be prepared for all of their upcoming classes and have a community to reach out to for help whenever they need it.

How we built it

We used Java in Eclipse, focusing on graphics to make a GUI through imports and interfaces.

Challenges we ran into

There were certain bugs that we couldn't figure out how to fix without having to undergo tedious debugging processes. However, we worked through them and grew above our issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of having so many features that display our creativity and programming ability. Also, we're proud to have created something that build the community that we are a part of.

What we learned

We learned how to use certain aspects of Java like the calendar and how to embed it within our application.

What's next for PeerPower

We plan to expand to more schools so that more students have the opportunity to build their community. Additionally, we want to have more resources, such as notes for absent students, counseling, and volunteer opportunities.
