Peer-to-Peer Tutoring Platform

Inspiration

We were inspired by high school students. We saw many international high school students struggling to understand school material which was due to language barriers and they couldn't afford tuitions. They have trouble finding any tutor who speak their own language, available on their time and the tuition fees is low to almost zero. Because of all these problems they aren't included and often feel excluded. Same way people with certain disabilities have trouble understanding school material and require their own unique way to understand it.

What it does

This project is a global peer-to-peer tutoring platform that connects students as both learners and teachers, with AI-powered matching based on subject, language, and availability. Students can arrange online or in-person study sessions, earn volunteer hours for tutoring, and engage through gamified rewards like badges and points.

Accessibility is a core focus: the platform integrates features for visual, hearing, motor, and neurodiverse learners, including screen reader support, text-to-speech, live captions, sign language resources, keyboard navigation, voice commands, clutter-free layouts, and focus modes. The design also supports flexible input and assessment formats, ensuring inclusivity for all learners.

How we built it

Me and my team mate aren't really exposed to coding. So we used bubble.io to make this project. We wrote the prompt in its in-built AI feature to generate the code.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge we faced was executing our idea. Even though we had brainstormed an idea we didn't know how to bring it to life.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our idea as its based on inclusivity. We are very happy to help all those students out their and make them feel included.

What we learned

We learned a lot about team work and how technology and can help solve problems like these which contribute to bigger problems in society.

What's next for Peer-to-Peer Tutoring Platform

We'll probably add more features like, more subjects and languages to make more type of students join this foundation. Anything updates and changes we do, will be based on inclusivity.
