Every student faces moments where they feel stuck — whether it’s doubts, concepts, skills, event preparation, or simply not knowing whom to approach. Existing platforms are either too formal, too broad, or not built for peer-to-peer support. We wanted a simple, fast, friendly space where students can help each other without hesitation. That idea became Peer Connect.
Peer Connect helps students:
Get quick help from peers
Understand difficult topics
Improve skills through peer-guided learning
Access useful resources shared by students
Form teams for hackathons, ideathons, and projects
Connect with helpful peers instantly
🟡 How we built it
We built Peer Connect using:
Base44 (No-Code Platform) for all screens and navigation
Modern, clean UI layouts without boxes or confusing visuals
Text-based category system instead of icons
Smooth page flow: Home → Quick Help → Category → Matches → Chat
Data structure with users, categories, events, and helper availability
Our goal was to make the app feel friendly, modern, and not like a study tool.
🟠 Challenges we ran into
Designing a UI that doesn’t feel like a study app
Making the categories simple but still meaningful
Ensuring users can write their own event names (because events are infinite)
Keeping everything lightweight enough for a no-code build
Building social-style flow without icons or heavy visuals
Time limitation with mid exams + 48-hour hackathon
🟢 Accomplishments we’re proud of
Created a clear, modern, and social-style layout
Designed simple category names that students instantly understand
Built a complete navigation flow using Base44
Developed an app that encourages peer-to
