## Inspiration: In an increasingly fragmented world, decision-makers are overwhelmed by uncoordinated data. We built GlobalPulse to provide a unified, real-time "heartbeat" of global socioeconomic trends. ## What it does: It aggregates diverse data streams into a single, cohesive dashboard, allowing users to visualize trends and evaluate policy impacts in real-time. ## How we built it: We utilized a high-integrity, dependency-free architecture in Python, using an atomic, local JSON-based ledger for immutable and audit-ready data. ## Challenges we ran into: Normalizing unstructured, disparate data sources was difficult. We overcame this with a robust, rules-based ingestion engine that standardizes everything into a "Pulse" schema. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of: Transforming massive, unstructured datasets into a clean, professional-grade monitoring tool that empowers data-driven humanitarian decisions. ## What we learned: That clean, resilient data architecture is more powerful for real-world impact than over-engineered tool stacks.
