Exploration of classic game mechanics within a defined augmented reality space

What it does

Uses the front-facing device camera to locate and track horizontal surfaces to place the AR game as in overlay in the user's camera view

How we built it

Uses Unity 3D and ARKit implementation and published as an IOS app using XCode. The game's 3D Assets were downloaded from the Unity asset store

Challenges we ran into

There was limited time to fully create more robust animations and UI graphics.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the basic gameplay prototype working and running within 24 hours

What we learned

As Augmented Reality and AR wearables become more mainstream this type of familiar content and gameplay will assist new users onboard and transition to this emerging tech

What's next for Pecking Order

Finish the game and submit it to the Apple App Store
