Inspiration
Remember that feeling you would get whenever you were forced to present in front of an audience? We strove to create an app that would make a real difference in people's life by combating one of the top fears encountered around the world.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that over the span of thirty-six hours, we went from complete strangers to teammates and friends that have the same passion to change the future of public speaking.
What we learned
Since the majority of us have never been to a hackathon before, we weren't used to coding without guidelines. From this experience, we found that projects that we work on in class are completely different than working on your idea.
Challenges we ran into
We came with many ideas for the Pebble Smartwatch; however, the challenge was narrowing down our ideas to an app that is practical and useful.
What's next for Pebblic Speaking
In the future, we want to take Pebblic Speaking to the next level. We plan on implementing:
- Pitch recognition to detect the user's speech pattern and modify infrequencies (to count "ums" and uneasy speech).
- Voice recognition to allow the notecards to be interactive; the window will follow the speech and display it on the window.
- Wolfram Alpha's API to analyze the sound waves.
