Inspiration
As high school and college students, we see many people cooperating on class notes with software like google docs or word. This is however high inefficient for multiple reasons. This problem is our inspiration for this project.
What it does
Pebble is a website that compiles everyone's notes for a teacher and class. We use Gemini AI to merge all the different notes and creates one common note that everyone can use. Pebble effectively gives an more modern approach to class notes.
How we built it
The whole project was build within the context of the MariHacks 8.0 Hackathon. We build it using Typescript and HTML along with other tools.
Challenges we ran into
Since MariHacks only lasts a bit less than 24 hours, it was very had to fit the whole project into this time frame. Time management was a big problem we faced as a team, especially since we got kicked out of the school because we are highschoolers :/
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Overall, the project and MariHacks as a whole was a fun time with friends. This website took a lot of teamwork to be built in 24 hours, and we barely slept.
What we learned
We learned many thing over this project mostly the importance and how to work as a team. Our understanding of AI and the other tools we used have also gotten significantly better after this project.
What's next for Pebble
Although the future of Pebble is uncertain, some of us believe that we will keep working on this project even after the Hackathon. This website is far from done and there are a multitude of improvements we can make to the website.
