Inspiration: The stress and challenges students especially children were going through during the lockdown was a push for us to switch to developing a system to assist them in learning as well as teaching

What it does: It has both teaching materials for teachers and learning materials for students/pupils. The teachers could upload pre recorded tutorial videos and students could watch at anytime convenient with time-bound assessments not exempted.

How I built it: Pearlion as a team deployed the use of cloud-based web application technology with django, HTML5, CSS3 and some aiding APIs to form a platform worth studying and teaching on

Challenges I ran into: The major challenges were the registration section with emails running into security -wise errors.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of: Registered tutors could upload their tutorials and learning materials for students to download or stream offline saving them data. Secondly individual not only register themselves unto the system but could wholly create a class of unlimited number as well as create an entire school environment.

What I learned: We learnt that this platform not only help the teaching and learning process but contributes significantly in the financial aspects of the tutors or the school authorities. The students are to pay a said amount of money during the studies. The school authorities sectionalise some into the teachers account to compensate for financial constraints during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

What's next for Pearlion E-learning Platform: To make the entire system more secure, and to basically run the platform offline to save cost on the side of students and teachers
