Inspiration

We got inspiration from trophy designs from competitions we competed in throughout high school and wanted to incorporate a mountain into the design for the theme of Summit.

What it does

It is a trophy with a slider that once it is pushed to the final checkpoint a flag pops out to show completion.

How we built it

We modeled a mountain in blender and imported it to fusion where we made the base of the trophy and made all the changes we needed to make the mountain functionable with the flag and slider.

Challenges we ran into

Blender to Fusion was difficult because of the meshes which had many faces and was very slow to update according to the changes we made in fusion.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the sliding mechanism to work hand in hand with the mountain because of the difference in software used to design each part.

What we learned

Blender is a great tool for making fun, artsy designs and fusion is much more practical for functional projects.

What's next for Peak Team Physical Submission

A 3D printed trophy with better tolerances and different colors within the print to avoid significant post processing.
