Inspiration
Our inspiration came from our shared struggle as students to stay focused: zoning out during lectures or rereading the same paragraph and our desire to create a tool that helps people truly understand and improve their focus.
What it does
Peak Focus uses brainwave data to track your attention in real time, helping you understand when and where you lose focus so you can reach your optimal flow state.
How we built it
We built Peak Focus by combining a Chrome extension, Muse 2 EEG integration, and Web Bluetooth to track, interpret, and improve users’ focus through real-time brainwave and study pattern data.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges learning new technologies like Chrome extensions and Web Bluetooth, interpreting EEG data from Muse 2, debugging unexpected issues, and balancing feature priorities while collaborating under tight timelines.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of turning complex brainwave data into actionable focus insights, successfully integrating Muse 2 with our Chrome extension, and creating a tool that helps users understand and improve their attention.
What we learned
We learned how to transform raw EEG signals into meaningful focus data, navigate new technologies, collaborate effectively, and use user feedback to shape a real-world product.
What's next for Peak Focus
Next, Peak Focus aims to fully integrate sleep pattern tracking with focus data to provide users with even more precise insights into their productivity and flow states.
