Inspiration

We wanted to build something that truly listens. Most mental health apps forget what you say. Peace of Mind was born from the belief that real support remembers you. It’s inspired by the idea of having an AI companion that genuinely understands your journey, not just your words.

What it does

Peace of Mind is your personal AI therapist that listens, learns, and remembers. It saves every conversation, note, and thought on your device, keeping your story safe and private. The AI reads your notes before every chat, so it always knows what you’re going through, even if the app has been closed for days.

How we built it

We built Peace of Mind using React and TypeScript with Ionic React and Capacitor to make it run smoothly on Android, iOS, and web. The AI is powered by Google Gemini, connected through a custom memory system that stores and rebuilds user context locally. The dark, elegant interface and GPU-accelerated animations make every interaction feel calm and alive.

Challenges we ran into

Creating true memory was tough. We had to balance accuracy, speed, and privacy while keeping everything stored locally. Making the AI understand notes and past context without cloud storage took a lot of iteration. But every breakthrough made the app feel more human.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built an AI that doesn’t forget you. It remembers your story, feels personal, and works offline without risking your privacy. We’re proud of making mental health support that’s beautiful, empathetic, and deeply human.

What we learned

We learned that empathy can be designed. Context and continuity are everything when it comes to emotional AI. We also learned how to make powerful AI feel safe and human by focusing on tone, memory, and privacy.

What's next for Peace Of Mind

Next, we are adding journaling insights, mood tracking, and a smarter memory that grows with you. Our goal is to make Peace of Mind the world's first truly personal AI therapist that is private, emotional, and always there when you need it.
