Inspiration
Millions of people around the world struggle with mental health issues, but not everyone can afford to visit a doctor or therapist for help. That’s why I decided to create an app using AI to support anyone dealing with mental health challenges.
What it does
It offers a wide range of AI-powered features to help users overcome mental health challenges. These include an AI Therapist, AI-guided meditations, an AI Chatbot, a Community Forum, and many more tools to support mental well-being.
How I built it
I developed the app in Android Studio using Kotlin and XML. I used the Gemini API for all the features and Firebase for features like authentication, database, and other backend work.
Challenges I ran into
I've been developing Android apps for the past 3 years and started coding back in high school. Now, at 21, I have solid experience in this field. Honestly, I didn't face any major challenges while working on this project.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
Creating software that has the potential to help millions, even billions, of people around the world is truly an honor for me. I feel proud of myself for developing this.
What I learned
During this project, I learned so much. I realized how, as a programmer, I have the power to change the world by creating platforms that make a real impact. I also learned how an idea can turn into reality in the tech world and how I can use my skills in the future to help others.
What's next for Peace AI
Next, I plan to upload the app to the Play Store and other app stores. I’ll also work on developing an iOS version. I believe this platform is something everyone can benefit from for their personal mental growth, and I’m confident it has the potential to attract millions of users worldwide.
