PDF data with MATLAB

  Location data pulled from the PDF allows me to create a map of Switzerland.

Inspiration

$$$$$ (and teaching myself MATLAB because BSEE maors require it in almost every upper level class.)

What it does

PDF files posted by the Swiss government regarding the location and information regarding FM and TV towers are converted to a format capable of being input to a post processing system.

How I built it

Lots and lots of looops. (I know loops in matlab are bad, but so is reading a PDF file.)

Challenges I ran into

PDF files like to be incredibly irregular in how data is stored.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

It works.

What I learned

Matlab syntax is savage.

What's next for PDF data with MATLAB

More data. More processes. Still can't tell you why.
