Inspiration
Students are often given pages of readings to do for their classes. The goal of this project was to create a website that made readings more accessible.
What it does
Our project takes in the users PDF's and gives them an analysis of the PDF text. It also has the function to read out the text as a downloadable mp3.
How we built it
We built the backend using nanonets AI to read the PDF and convert it into text and python to analyze the data.
Challenges we ran into
It was our first time putting a front and back end together and we ran into challenges with incorporating our javascript website with our python functions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Using an AI and API's we had never used before to read a PDF and convert it into a text file.
What we learned
We learnt how to build a front end as well how to work in javascript, react, flask, and nanonets.
What's next for PDF Analyzer
making it into an app and having a place to save the recordings of each PDF
