Digital India

What it does

Data security means protecting data, such as database, from destructive forces and from the unwanted actions of unauthorized users.

The international standard ISO 27001 covers data and information security. Information security is the practice of defending information from unauthorized access.

• To effectively detect security incidents, our project develop auditing policies and procedures that organization’s needs.

• To simplify video management, we stored video on centralized system

• Smaller organizations may not be able to make an big investment. Keeping this in mind we will create low lost project.

• Our Project will allow an organization to do better audit on USB devices.

• Whenever External devices are connected, web cam will take picture of the attacker.

• Video file will be created on the admin machine so that he can identify activity done by the attacker.

Challenges I ran into

To check whether this connection is established or not. To check whether User ID and password field accepts Special symbol or not. To check whether enter IP address is 32 bit or greater than 32 bit To check whether IP address accepts string data type. To check whether USB devices are plugged or not. To check whether data cable are accepts as USB or not To check whether the Hacker’s image capture or not. To check whether Video file is created or not. To check whether Hacker’s image and Criminal’s Activity Video is Stored or not.

What I learned

Universal serial bus (USB) storage devices are useful for transferring information within an organization; however, they are a common threat that can occur.

Implementing controls to track the use of these devices is necessary if organizations wish to retain sufficient situational awareness and auditing capabilities to detect data theft incidents.

Malicious insiders attempting to remove data from organizational systems may have various ways of doing so, such as by using email and cloud storage services.

Some malicious insiders attempt to remove data by using removable universal serial bus (USB) media.

The PC Crime Detector program is able to record screen activities and sound whenever pen drive, CD/DVD, hard disk is inserted.

It take picture of the user who is trying to attach USB devices. The Screen Recording program can be used to create high quality security in college and organization

PC crime Detector is a utility that runs in the background and records the videos of any USB device that is plugged your system.

Photo of criminal will taking when she/he tries to insert pen drive Organization can detect who is criminal, which tries to take data.

Video will help to find the activities done by criminal.

Data Security and Data Privacy will be maintained.

It produces video files.

What's next for PC Crime Detector

“PC Crime Detector” is developed using JAVA. It is basically an crime detector system

with some advance feature. This crime detector system is designed in such a way to fulfill the

complete needs of the enterprise, IT company, govt. offices and can be use anywhere were

security is important. This application helps organization to detect the thefts who try to

attach any external devices which can result in loss of useful data of the organization.

This project deals with the functionalities of the terminal systems connected through a

network. This enhances the work efficiency of the administrator and also reduces the physical

work strain to provide security. One of these collaborative solution is a PC crime Detector

that provides a virtual graphical environment through a network displayed on a thin client.

The

PC Crime Detector

program is able to record screen activities and sound

whenever pen drive, CD/DVD, hard disk is inserted. It produces three files: a video file

without sound (.mov), a sound file (.wav), and a final video file (.mov). The two previous

files are merged to generate the final video file. The .mov file is a common video format file

for video saving. It is supported both in Macintosh and Windows.

The Screen Recording program can be used to create high quality security in

colleges, school and organization.
