Paying invoices from Quickbooks using Digital Checks

Inspiration

Paying invoices is a pain. Quickbooks doesn't have an online option to pay. Printing and mailing paper checks is not scalable

What it does

Allows you to import your Quickbooks invoices in a browser based application that sends out Digital Checks automatically. Basically no more printing and mailing out paper Checks

How I built it

I authenticate using OAuth with Quickbooks from a web endpoint. Using Quickbooks API I import invoice data into an web service/application that sends out a Digital Check for each invoice

Challenges I ran into

Quickbooks allows outside-in integration only i.e. I cannot build this from within Quickbooks

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We were able to solve a real-problem in a single Hackathon time.

What I learned

Learned about Intuit's API, authenticating from outside to pull quickbooks transactions
