Online payment fraud, fake invoices, and suspicious payment requests are growing problems in the digital world. We were inspired to build PayGuard AI to help people identify potential fraud before making payments. We believe prevention is better than recovery.

What We Built

PayGuard AI is an AI-powered payment protection platform that analyzes invoices and payment requests, identifies suspicious patterns, checks payment details, and provides a risk assessment before users proceed with checkout.

How We Built It

We developed a user-friendly web application combining AI-powered analysis, payment verification logic, and secure checkout controls. Users can submit payment information for analysis and receive clear warnings and risk insights to support safer payment decisions.

Challenges We Faced Identifying suspicious payment patterns accurately. Designing a reliable risk assessment system. Integrating payment verification with checkout controls. Making complex fraud indicators understandable to everyday users. Creating a smooth and responsive user experience. What We Learned

Through this project, we learned about AI-based fraud detection, payment security, risk assessment, frontend and backend integration, and user-centered product development. We also understood the importance of balancing security, accuracy, and usability.
