Inspiration
As a phone repair technician, I’ve come to realize that data is everything. This project was born from my desire to start keeping a proper record of customer issues and contact information, something many small businesses overlook.
What it does
The PAYFIX Mobile Repair App allows customers to submit repair requests by filling out a form with their device issues. Their data, including the urgency of the repair and their contact info, is then saved securely in a Supabase database. A confirmation email is automatically sent to the customer after submission.
How we built it
I used bolt.new to generate the core app. It’s incredibly intuitive. From there, I integrated Supabase to handle the backend database and set up the logic to send confirmation emails.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating Supabase was the most time-consuming part. Getting it to work the way I wanted took some persistence. But once that was in place, the rest flowed smoothly.
Accomplishments we’re proud of
Honestly, being able to build and deploy this app with limited coding experience is something I’m very proud of. It proves how far no-code and low-code tools, along with my own determination, can go.
What we learned
I’ve learned that AI tools and platforms like Supabase have made building powerful apps accessible to almost anyone. What once seemed like science fiction is now something I can create from my phone or laptop, for free.
What’s next for PAYFIX
I plan to keep refining the app, adding a custom domain, integrating WhatsApp confirmation messages, and improving the user experience. Eventually, I want to turn this into a template for other technicians to use. With just a few tweaks, they could launch their own version.
