Even if we are able to ensure that it is discussed widely, it will always get limited
The root cause is due to stereotypes and biases
Historically, the gender in power has always been seen superior, such biases even if it isn't voluntary, it exists within us
Hence, we wanted to provide a platform for marginalized genders to be able to run their business without any judgements
Therefore we introduce to you EquiStore, an anonymous identity maintaining platform for business owners to flourish
What it does
At EquiStore, one can easily purchase any goods that one wants, which are sold by marginalized genders
This is a platform that is open to all genders
Supports international payments, thanks to Circle
Our platform enables the use of Circle to connect purchasers from all around the world
All the while with Circle, we are able to maintain an anonymity with use of merchant IDs
With the use of USDC feature provided by Circle, the value will remain intact, hence purchasers and sellers do not need to hesitate performing transactions on the platform
You can also save your card details with the help of Circle, hence speeding up your payments
With Circle, our platform is able to leverage a smooth payment interface provided via the stable conversion
View all transaction details which are fetched from the Circle's payment API
All your transaction history is saved, hence maintaining transparency
How we built it
We built it with the help of Circle
Circle helps make transactions fast and secure
Also, integrating Circle has helped us maintain value of currencies with its feature of USDC
Challenges we ran into
We had extremely limited amount of time to implement our project
It really wasn't easy to ensure how well our platform would be able to convey the right message, however despite that we did our best to make it a viable product
We had a bit of a hard time understanding how Circle actually worked, but we tried to understand as much as we could since our platform relied heavily on it
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to implement a fully functional product in such a short period of time
Learning and implementing Circle and being able to actually enable transactions with it
Despite being exhausted, we were able to put in all our energy to give our best and be able to implement EquiStore
What we learned
We learned to integrate Circle! We really liked the idea of Circle and what all powers it actually holds for our platform
Our intensive research helped us build a viable product despite making the product in such a short amount of time
During our user research for the product, we also realized how in-the-air the concept of equal pay and equal opportunities is implemented
What's next?
EquiStore has the potential to scale with much more features that we have in mind, we want to enable community engagement and interaction through our platform
Potential features also include incentives to both purchasers and buyers to ensure that the customer loyalty stays strong
We also look forward to enabling anonymous profile customization to ensure there is more virtual connectivity
