Inspiration

The $60B+ global ticketing industry is broken: rampant scalping, fake tickets, massive fees, privacy breaches, and zero real ownership for fans. I wanted to fix it with Web3 — true NFT ownership, privacy via encryption, fair secondary markets, and better fan-organizer connections.

What it does

Paxr is a privacy-first decentralized event ticketing platform on Arbitrum Orbit.

  • Organizers mint NFT tickets and host events.
    • Fans buy securely, join group buys, RSVP anonymously.
    • Resales are encrypted (no leaks), capped to kill scalping, with anti-fraud rules.
    • Cross-chain bridging, shareable proofs, and demand analytics for all.

How we built it

  • Smart Contracts: Solidity + OpenZeppelin (ERC-721/1155 NFTs, escrow/resale rules).
  • Privacy: Fhenix for encrypted attendee data & resale proofs.
  • Interoperability: LayerZero for cross-chain ticket bridging.
  • Infra: Alchemy for indexing/events, IPFS for metadata, Dune for analytics.
  • Frontend: Next.js + Privy (easy onboarding), Copperx.io-inspired clean/minimal UI (dashboards, checkouts, portals)..

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating Fhenix encryption with resale/escrow logic without breaking UX or gas efficiency.
  • Ensuring secure cross-chain bridging (LayerZero) while keeping transactions fast on Arbitrum.
  • Balancing anti-bot/scalping rules with real user privacy and speed.
  • Rapid iteration during the hackathon timeline.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Fully functional MVP with end-to-end flow: event creation → private buy/RSVP → capped resale → attendance proof.
  • Strong sponsor stack integration (all 5: OpenZeppelin, Alchemy, LayerZero, Dune, Fhenix).
  • Copperx-inspired intuitive UI that feels Web2-friendly yet fully Web3.
  • Early X buzz + waitlist sign-ups already rolling in.

What we learned

  • Privacy (Fhenix) is a game-changer for real adoption — users value hidden data more than we expected.
  • Cross-chain (LayerZero) unlocks huge flexibility but needs careful gas/UX optimization.
  • Simple onboarding (Privy) + clean design massively lowers barriers for non-crypto event fans/organizers.
  • Anti-scalping must be strict yet fair — balance is key to trust.

What's next for Paxr

  • Launch beta with real events (virtual + physical pilots).
  • Add governance token + DAO for community decisions.
  • White-label for venues/artists + major partnerships.
  • Native mobile apps, fiat on-ramps, and fan loyalty features.
  • Scale to millions: viral group buys, influencer drops, enterprise compliance toolkit.
  • Goal: Become the go-to decentralized alternative to Ticketmaster — fair, private, fan-owned ticketing worldwide. 🚀
