Inspiration

Stop me if you have heard this before, "I can't make it, have to take my pet to the vet, essentially will take up my entire day." All of us being pet owners, we realized that getting a pet means having to sacrifice a lot of other things in your life. It means sacrificing time with your friends, sacrificing outings and even sacrificing sleep. Although it is all worth it, we would still love to get as much time possible to spend time on things other than our pets.

What it does

Our website is a one-stop shop for your pets' grooming and medical requirements. We all know seeking medical assistance for your pet is a rather lengthy process, taking them for a grooming session is a rather lengthy process. We hope to resolve that problem by letting pet owners book appointments and schedule visits at the comfort of their own home, and their own time.

How we built it

We built this system on a NoCode website builder - Wix - with mobile optimizations. We also used a lot of integrations that were provided on the same platform for bookings, blogs, forums etc

Challenges we ran into

Integrating all of the promised features of our system in the website, such as the pet emergency services. When the user can call a vet to their address by a touch of a couple of buttons in case of emergencies.

We also wanted to integrate the profile builder for the pets where it specifies the breed, colour, past medications, vaccinations that they have taken and legalities involved with ownership. (And more such features)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Providing a safe space for pet owners to monitor the health and well-being of their pets on an easily accessible network and contributing to making pet owner’s lives easier than ever before.

What we learned

We learnt about the full potential of developing a website like ours, where many features can be integrated and connected with each user profile to provide for a more complete customer experience.

What's next for PawStories

Who knows, self-driving Tesla cars delivering your pets home from the vet. On a more serious note we would love to launch our own mobile app so that it is more accessible for the users.
