Inspiration
I once saw a documentary based on how animals are slaughtered every single day just because of their skin and our selfish reasons. I found it extremely cruel and wanted to help stop that.
What it does
Pawsitivity is a website that raises awareness on animal cruelty in the fashion industry. We are 100% dedicated to stop animal abuse. Through our quiz we can determine whether you live in an animal cruelty free zone or not. We provide solutions based on your responses. How we built it
The whole website has been coded in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I used SlidesGo to create my pitch video.
Challenges we ran into
Getting everything done in such a short amount of time was quite tough. The quiz wasn't working at first, but after a lot of work, it's finally up and running!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud to have created this website solo and as a first time hacker.
What we learned
I learnt a lot about front end development, that is, HTML and CSS. Prior to this hackathon, I did not know what JavaScript exactly was. I did my research and checked out several online resources and tutorials to learn how to use JavaScript.
What's next for Pawsitivity
I hope to host campaigns in the future through Pawsitivity and start my own non-profit organization.
