Inspiration
Most people do not enjoy exercising, drinking water, and doing other similar things.
What it does
this website is special because you have a pet cat named Lunna that will level up when you complete tasks. There are some tasks available, and you can also add new ones. Every task helps Lunna level up and earn coins, which can be used to pet, feed, or dress her. There is also a section that displays your daily contributions to help you stay consistent.
How we built it
Using skill in javascript and React and with the help of free version of Gemini 3.7 and Cloud Sonata 4.6. The audio used on the website is taken from Myinstance (https://www.myinstants.com/ ).
Challenges we ran into
Fill in specifics — e.g. syncing Lunna's animations/state with task completion, designing a leveling/coin system that felt balanced, getting the daily-contribution tracker to persist and display correctly, coordinating work across the team, learning a new IDE/tooling under time pressure, etc.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
building a clean and intuitive UI and shipping a complete end-to-end product within the hackathon timeframe.
What we learned
how to design reward systems that actually motivate behavior with the front-end/back-end skills, working efficiently as a team under a deadline.
What's next for PawPal
we want to add more clothes and accessories for Lunna, let users customize her name, and introduce a friends system so PawPal feels more social — where users can see friends' pets and progress and motivate each other to stay consistent.
