Inspiration
Pawfect Groomers was inspired by relaxing pet-care and simulation games. We wanted to make grooming tactile and satisfying while giving each pet different needs and personality.
What it does
Players run a pet grooming salon, completing appointments by washing, brushing, drying, trimming, and styling pets. Each pet has grooming requirements, owner requests, and a comfort level. Successful appointments earn coins for upgrading grooming tools.
How we built it
We built the game as a 2D portrait mobile web game using HTML5, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, with the gameplay and UI contained in a single index.html.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge was making simple touch interactions feel satisfying while clearly showing changes such as dirt removal, wet fur, soap, brushing, and grooming progress.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the visible pet transformations, interactive grooming tools, multiple salon stations, appointment system, and progression through tool upgrades.
What we learned
We learned that strong visual feedback and responsive interactions are especially important for making simple grooming actions enjoyable.
What's next for Pawfect Groomers
We plan to add more pets, personalities, grooming treatments, salon customization, special appointments, and deeper progression.
