Inspiration

We've volunteered at animal shelters so we know how difficult it is to find sufficient resources for the animal shelters.

What it does

The app collects data from animal shelters in Southern California and organizes it so that it can determine where to efficiently allocate resources.

How we built it

We used fundamental web development tools and liner regression algorithms to sanitize data, build a prediction model, and cross reference sources.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into trouble when trying to find sufficient data.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to build a functioning prototype and use an AI model to predict trends in animal populations in shelters.

What we learned

We learned that some animal shelters have drastically more resources than others who may need it more.

What's next for Paw Pals

Expanding outside of Southern California.
