Inspiration

Our inspiration is the deep trust deficit in Indian civic life. We saw an opportunity to use technology to address the lack of transparency, creating a system to turn citizen frustration into tangible action and empower active community participation.

What it does

Paurya is a web-based agentic AI platform that orchestrates a complete workflow for civic engagement. A citizen reports a local issue via photo and map pin; our AI agent processes it into a verified, crowdfundable micro-project with a transparent cost estimate provided by a local municipal body. Users can then contribute, earn "Civic Coins" as a reward, and track all project progress on a personal "Impact Dashboard."

How we built it

Our plan is to build Paurya as a full-stack proof-of-concept. The backend is a custom agentic framework using Node.js, with IBM's Granite model on watsonx.ai as the reasoning engine. The frontend will be a responsive React app with Tailwind CSS.

Challenges we ran into & What we learned

During ideation, our main conceptual challenge was framing Paurya correctly. We learned that to be truly feasible, our platform couldn't be a critique of government, but rather a collaborative "tool for government" that accelerates their work and enhances transparency. Also the AI agent couldn't just be a simple chatbot. We ideated a system where the agent is the core orchestrator of the entire workflow, actively guiding the user through every step, from the structured data collection of an issue report to the complex logic of calculating proportional rewards. This strategic decision to deeply integrate the agent is what makes the workflow truly automated and user-friendly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of designing a novel solution for a complex Indian problem with a clear, feasible approach. The innovative Civic Coin model is a powerful incentive for sustained participation, and our agentic AI workflow represents a significant leap beyond simple reporting tools.

What's next for Paurya

Our roadmap is clear: upon selection, we will build this PoC during the hackathon. The next step would be to pilot Paurya with a municipal council to validate the model with real-world data before scaling to new cities.
