Patterns for displaying huge amounts of data

How can we display huge amounts of data in the UI while still achieving high performance & without negatively impacting the user experience.

How?

Make a catalog of patterns that help to solve these issues (pagination, lazy loading, server and/or client caching, compression like gzip,...)
