Inspiration
We wanted to give patients easier access to relevant health information and allow them to more easily contact their doctors. We decided to create a new, easy-to-use UI.
What it does
The portal gives patients information about their health in the Health Tracker section, and they can connect with their doctors in the Forum section. The Payment sections lets them manage their bills and can allow them to pay with PayPal.
How I built it
We built the site with HTML and CSS. We also attempted to use Python for the Forums.
Challenges I ran into
We couldn't get the Forums to work with Python. If we had more time, we would have used JavaScript.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We were able to effectively use HTML and CSS to create a visually appealing, easy-to-navigate website. We are especially proud of the tables that we made with CSS.
What I learned
We developed our skills with HTML and CSS. We also gained experience with Ruby on Rails and Python, although we weren't able to use those in our website.
What's next for Patient Portal | ExpertPancakes
We want to develop the Forums section further using JavaScript and add health info. We also want to implement a secure login feature for patients and doctors.
