Patient CounterX

Receptionists and doctors are required to operate quickly in the clinic. To effectively do this, they must know where their patients are located. Patient CounterX helps clinics become more efficient.

Inspiration

I was inspired to create this project when I noticed a receptionist trying to figure out the empty rooms in the clinic.

What it does

ProjectCounterX counts the number of patients in each room. There is no input device for this prototype, so it can only output set values. However, I hope to connect this with Arduino and door cameras to make it functional.

How we built it

It was constructed through HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

I was not familiar with the coding languages I utilized. Thus, I had to learn the languages and choose a beginner-level project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning new languages was a big accomplishment for me.

What we learned

During the workshops, I learned about building websites and working in teams.

What's next for Patient CounterX

Patient CounterX will become an application which can track the number of patients the clinic had each day, create graphs for the data and show the patients expected to arrive in the next 30 minutes.
