Inspiration

There are more and more the elder resident and the caregiving issue become the social problem. Provide the suitable caregiving system is the important. A night-watch system could reduce the caregiver loading and help them well in daytime job.

What it does

A smart mattress sensor support the leaving message and IOT system provide the notice to caregiver. The notice could set for several situation such as the patient awake and leaving bed within 60 sec or patient leaf bed too long in night time.

How we built it

We will use AWS IOT for the sensor feed in system. And AWS Kinesis for job analysis and real time action. Built the EC2 server for APP service.

Challenges we ran into

All of the service is the 1st built at our team. That is the challenge.

We are the team at junior year in university. The only thing we're proud of is young.

What's next for patient care system

A smart mattress support the night-watch care, and sleeping manager. The movement sensor could support the daytime. A BLE beacon can locate the patient environment for caregiver. An APP could support the routine job for caregiver and share the caregiving task with the caregiving team.
