PRATIBIMB — See the Manipulation Before You Trust the Message
PRATIBIMB is an investor-resilience platform designed to help people recognise financial manipulation, misinformation, and potential fraud before they make a harmful financial decision. Instead of simply telling users whether a message is “real” or “fake,” PRATIBIMB helps them understand why a message may feel trustworthy, what claims it is making, what evidence supports those claims, and what manipulation signals are present.
The solution begins when a user receives a suspicious financial message, screenshot, social-media post, or investment-related communication. The user can submit the content to PRATIBIMB without providing sensitive information such as OTPs, passwords, or banking credentials. The system extracts the important claims from the content and separates them from supporting evidence.
PRATIBIMB then analyses the message for common manipulation patterns such as authority appeals, urgency, social proof, unrealistic outcomes, guarantee language, payment pressure, withdrawal pressure, and impersonation. Rather than making an unsupported “SCAM” declaration, the system presents these findings as risk signals and clearly distinguishes detected signals from facts that still require independent verification.
The core innovation is Reality Replay. Once manipulation signals are identified, PRATIBIMB creates an educational simulation showing how a common manipulation pattern could continue. For example, a message may promise quick profits, followed by a simulated request for a withdrawal fee or additional verification payment. The replay is explicitly presented as a simulation, not a prediction. Its purpose is to help the user recognise the pattern before experiencing it with real money.
PRATIBIMB then introduces Teach-Back, where the user is asked why the original message felt trustworthy. If the user says they trusted it because the sender appeared authoritative or because “everyone was making money,” the system identifies the reasoning pattern and teaches the user how to independently verify such claims. This converts a single investigation into a reusable financial-safety habit.
The solution also includes Recovery Mode for users who have already interacted with a suspicious source or transferred money. Instead of blaming the user, PRATIBIMB helps them preserve relevant evidence, organise screenshots and messages, construct an incident timeline, and prepare a structured incident summary that can support appropriate next steps.
PRATIBIMB is designed with privacy and safety at its core. It does not require access to SMS, OTPs, bank credentials, or brokerage accounts, and it does not provide stock tips, buy/sell recommendations, price predictions, or trading signals.
Ultimately, PRATIBIMB is not designed to make investors dependent on another “trusted” source. Its goal is the opposite: to help investors become better at questioning, verifying, recognising manipulation, and making safer decisions independently.
