Inspiration

In our country - Vietnam, more than 5 million students struggle with finding meaningful opportunities. Even if they know what to do, they lack guidance and support. Even when they have clear goals and access to mentorship, financial constraints hold them back. Therefore, we came up with an app to help them bridge the gap between their current skills and their goals.

What it does

PathWISE personalizes assessments and provides tailored recommendations, such as suggesting courses at college to get the necessary skills for the job, finding extracurricular activities to gain experience, editing resumes,...

How we built it

First, we began by identifying the core needs of students and defining the features required to address those needs. This took us quick long to reach the consensus. Second, we worked together to choose the technology stacks suitable for building the project. Then, we assigned tasks for each team member according to their strengths. After that, because of the time constraints, we performed the stage of designing, coding, and testing simultaneously Finally, we recorded the demo video and finalize our submission.

Challenges we ran into

With a short amount of time, we encounter many problems with finding bugs and creating a plan on how to do the app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We provide personalized roadmap with mentorship and AI assistant, so we are proud that PathWISE is the first platform in Vietnam to offer this level of customization.

What we learned

Our team only has 2 people with coding expertise, so at first we struggled a lot, but then we divided the tasks and supported each other throughout the process so everything went better. So, we learned how to work in a team effectively. However, we also regretted not being able to attend workshops to learn more because the time difference is too large.

What's next for PathWISE

In Q3-Q4/2024, we will do market research and deploy app. Then, we will start testing the app and collect users’ experiences in Q1/2025; and finally officially launch PathWISE in Q2-Q3/2025.
