Inspiration- Our team, as high school age students, feels the pressure to choose our future careers, but we don't have enough experience or knowledge to do this well. Because of this, we wanted to make a platform where we could connect to experts who could provide guidance for us.
What it does- Pathway is an app that connects students to career mentors
How we built it- We created a framework on Google Slides and InVision Studio
Challenges we ran into- It was hard to design the framework in a practical yet aesthetically pleasing way
Accomplishments that we're proud of- We're proud of the great idea our team generating that we ourselves can use, and how much work we accomplished in the days that we had
What we learned- We learned how important it is to use the right tools
What's next for Pathway- Pathway will expand into a website as well as a phone app, will add an page for local classes that students can browse and join, and will partner with schools so that teachers can register as mentors and will allow more widespread student participation.
