Inspiration

This is the story of a 7 years old girl name Valliammai who lives in the small village of Karnataka (India), evenly she belongs to a very poor family, she is very fond of reading books 📚 by different authors but as her financial condition is not very good, she can’t be able to buy those. Similar to her there are multiple poor children who have this gap between them and educational resources because of which they end up making their life worst.

What it does

Pathsala is an integrated platform that let you share your old and used educational material among the people in need, apart from this we provide a network of learning so that you will always get some learnings out of your interaction with the platform.

How we built it

We have used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend development part of the website, while other than that we consumed the Google Dialogflow platform to develop and deploy our first-ever made smart python-based AI bot that is capable of both texts to speech and speech to text communication.

Challenges we ran into

As being the first hackathon for both of us in the team, It was really hard for us to develop the whole model in time and present it in a good way. Apart from this learning, Google's Dialogflow platform was quite hard, we have additionally spent our time learning HTML and CSS for the website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of developing a platform that is really capable of helping out poor children and empowering them with the abilities of learning, apart from this our platform targets to combat the issue of deforestation. Learning and putting things together was such a great feeling for the first time.

What we learned

We have learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Google's Dialogflow. Apart from this, we have learned the skill of teamwork as well as doing meaning.
