Inspiration

With the development of science and technology and the growth of the population, the issue of uneven distribution of medical resources and the public's inability to access timely medical care has gradually emerged. The rise of AI has brought significant challenges to the biomedical field, and the advent of large models has brought AI-assisted diagnosis into the public eye. However, the biomedical datasets required for training large models are difficult to provide on a large scale due to challenges such as complex annotation requirements. To address these issues, this project proposes an integrated biomedical platform Pathorchestra aimed at alleviating the problem of delayed medical access, assisting doctors in tumor and cancer prediction, and mitigating the shortage of datasets for large model training. The platform consists of three precise modules: MediFusion, Spatio-Based Pathology MultiModal (SPMM), and BioAnnotate.

What it does

Pathorchestra is an integrated biomedical platform with three specialized modules working together to address healthcare challenges:

  1. MediFusion: A web-based AI health consultation platform where users input symptoms to receive diagnostic suggestions. It's designed to provide preliminary advice rather than replacing human doctors, helping users understand possible health issues and recommended next steps.

  2. Spatio-Based Pathology MultiModal (SPMM): An advanced multimodal medical foundation model that integrates spatial transcriptomics, pathological images (WSI), and clinical text data. It provides tumor/cancer classification, staging, and prognosis prediction for professionals and doctors. The model features sophisticated architecture with specialized encoders and visualization tools.

  3. BioAnnotate: A professional annotation platform for pathological and biological data that enables annotation of Whole Slide Images and spatial transcriptomics data. It supports multi-modal integration of different data types with project management and export functionality. Together, these modules form an integrated ecosystem where MediFusion helps the public better understand diseases, SPMM assists doctors in cancer prediction and promotes precision medicine, while BioAnnotate provides labeled datasets to address the scarcity of biomedical training data, particularly for spatial transcriptomics.
