Inspiration
As a student, I've wondered whether I'm making the right decisions for my future. I had some questions like "Should I focus on projects or internships?", "Are my current skills enough?", and "How likely am I to achieve my goals?" .I realized that even other students like me might have the same questions .Even though students have access to various learning platforms and AI tutors, very few tools help them understand how today's decisions can affect tomorrow's opportunities. That's what inspired me to build PATHFINDER AI
What it
It's an AI Decision Intelligence Platform that helps students analyze their goals, simulate possible futures, and generate personalized roadmaps.The platform evaluates a student's profile using factors such as CGPA, projects, internships, hackathon experience, and technical skills to generate: Success probability scores, Career readiness metrics, Future simulations, Personalized roadmaps, AI-powered recommendations. It can be thought as "Google Maps for Your Future."
How we built it
I built PATHFINDER AI as a solo participant using Python,Streamlit,Plotly,Pandas,NumPy.The application follows a modular architecture with separate components for goal analysis, dashboard generation, future simulations, roadmap creation, and recommendation engines.
Challenges we ran into
Since I had less time to build , one of the biggest challenges was keeping the scope realistic. I initially planned advanced OpenAI-powered simulations and adaptive recommendation systems, but I had to prioritize building a complete and functional experience first.I also encountered several issues while integrating the frontend components, handling Streamlit session state, and ensuring all modules worked together seamlessly.

What we learned
This project taught me a lot about product scoping, rapid prototyping, and designing AI-first user experiences under tight deadlines. More importantly, it reinforced the idea that AI shouldn't just answer questions—it should help people make better decisions
