Inspiration
When speaking with fellow community members & some friends, I found the exact same problem in our society as they said (which also came out during idea research using Claude); there wasn't a centralized platform that synced the community to learning about the problems happening in the society, what was getting fixed and overall what changes occurred. Just broken groups and chats and without community access which limited awareness. To bridge this gap, I came up with "PatchWork"; a web platform where all and everyone of a community can view current inconsistencies in the society and report problems & see it get fixed giving way to a collaborative neighborhood.
What it does
Website: PatchWork. The website provides full transparency removing the hassle for logins, deliberately. People can navigate to the reporting page where they can report problems that they have seen in the society. Procedure:
- Add a photo or video of the problem. (Optional)
- Add the location through the GPS options.
- Proceed to report to our AI Agent either through Chat or through the built-in AI call feature and answer the prompts.
- Your report confirmation email is sent to you at your provided email and your report is sent to your society's manager email too (i.e. Currently set to me )
- Your report will be added on the dashboard where you can view the open reports by toggling Cards/Map view.
- Once the problem is fixed, anyone and I mean anyone can mark the problem as solved. So if the manager forgets to mark it, some other person of the community can mark it solved. This was deliberately kept for transparency for an ethical community.
- The solved problems will be kept on the dashboard for 12-hours in the 'Solved' section, after which they are removed.
- Community members who think they are also affected by a problem that is present in the open reports section, then that person can click on "+1 Confirm" to signify impact.
UI
The website utilizes modern and classic themes providing a broad choice of 5. The available themes:
- Civic Emerald
- Night
- Solar Punk
- Cyber Ops
- Nordic Glass
(UI Best experienced on PC)
How we built it
We built the website by combining agentic modules and raw human power. The backend was built through Antigravity cli and a bit of human intervention for connecting external modules such as configuring the VAPI agent and launching onto supabase and vercel. The frontend was created using a combination of both AI and human ideas and implementation. Most of the heavy lifting throughout the project was done by Antigravity cli with few updates and UI features implemented using Claude Code routing free models through FreeLLMAPI and using GLM-5.3-flash by connecting it to Command Code through Dahl Inference api key.
Challenges we ran into
There were many challenges and problems. Few listed below: . The dashboard not registering reports. . Email automation stopping. . Incorrect assessment of reports by AI . UI features not loading and minor bugs
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The interactive interface and the AI integration and automation; although the AI call feature isn't best implemented and full transparency of reporting problems for fellow community members giving seamless access to ethical community members.
What we learned
AI can't always completely setup everything exactly as you have in mind, you will need to invest your time and do some work yourself.
