Inspiration

When I joined university, I thought the hardest part would be keeping up with lectures and exams. Instead, the real struggle began with finding a safe and affordable place to live. Talking with other students, I realized we were all facing the same housing nightmare. That frustration became the spark behind Pata-Space — a platform to make student living easier, safer, and more connected.

What it does

Pata-Space helps students:

🏠 Find verified, affordable accommodation near campus
🛒 Buy and sell essentials through a trusted student marketplace
💬 Connect with peers through a supportive community hub

It’s more than just listings — it’s a student-first ecosystem that makes university life less stressful.

How we built it

We built Pata-Space during a hackathon using:

Frontend: React 18, TypeScript, Vite
Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage)
Styling: Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui
State Management: TanStack Query
Deployment: Lovable Cloud

Caffeine, teamwork, and countless late-night debugging sessions held it all together.
