The inspiration behind Past Share stems from the struggles of students who often find it challenging to access free study materials, such as past papers, especially during crucial exam periods.
What it does
Past Share is a platform that connects students with a common goal: to support each other by sharing academic materials across various study fields. Users can create groups and upload documents, as well as post requests for specific documents they need.
How we built it
Past Share was built using a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies.
Challenges we ran into
During the development process, one of the main challenges was finding reliable teammates to collaborate with. Despite having a couple of team members initially, their lack of cooperation led to the decision to work on the project alone.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite facing various challenges, I am proud to have successfully created a functional prototype that can be demonstrated to showcase the platform's potential.
What we learned
Working solo on the project taught me valuable lessons in self-reliance and determination. It reinforced the importance of delivering a demonstrable project, even if it may not be overly complex or fully polished, as any progress is better than none.
What's next for Past Share
With good funsing .In the future, Past Share envisions partnerships with authors of educational materials, compensating them for allowing their content to be shared on the platform. Additionally, users who upload valuable resources could be rewarded per download, and the platform can generate income through ad sponsors. By implementing these strategies, Past Share aims to further support the academic community and promote the sharing of knowledge and resources
