Inspiration
I wanted to create a simple tool that helps people understand password strength and improve their online safety. Since weak passwords can make accounts easier to compromise, I decided to build Password Guardian.
What It Does
Password Guardian analyzes a password using basic strength checks and gives users feedback about how strong it is. It aims to encourage safer password habits in a simple, beginner-friendly way.
How I Built It
I built this project using Python and worked on the password-checking logic, scoring system, and feedback displayed to the user.
Challenges
As a beginner, I faced challenges with writing the code correctly, fixing errors, and making the strength assessment work as intended. Testing and debugging helped me understand the process better.
What I Learned
This project helped me improve my problem-solving, debugging, and programming skills. It also taught me that even small projects can help raise awareness about cybersecurity. In the future, I want to improve Password Guardian by making its interface more user-friendly, adding clearer suggestions for creating stronger passwords, and expanding its security checks. I also hope to build more beginner-friendly cybersecurity projects that help people develop safer online habits.
What's next for Password Guardian
In the future, I want to improve Password Guardian by making its interface more user-friendly, adding clearer suggestions for creating stronger passwords, and expanding its security checks. I also hope to build more beginner-friendly cybersecurity projects that help people develop safer online habits.
