Inspiration

The concept of the Paso Doble dance. The translation from the spanish is 'double step'. The dance shows the male dancer representing the bull in bullfighting and the female dancer representing the red cape, and their conversation/romance in dance form.

What it does

The film reinterprets that dance using a real bull, contrasting it's raw power with the elegance of the female dancer.

How we built it

Starting with the key wide shot and developing details to focus on.

Challenges we ran into

Continuity of character, keeping the dance moves varied to hold attention, creating a narrative arc.

Don't paint bulls as the bad guy, they are sensitive creatures like us
