Inspiration

We saw that many language learning apps place too much emphasis on vocabulary and grammar.

What it does

Parrot is a web app that lets users record themselves speaking and scores their pronunciations.

Over time it learns which sounds the user has trouble pronouncing and finds phonetically-similar words to recommend.

What's next for Parrot

Interactivity! It'd be awesome to gamify this, such as by adding a time aspect (users have to say the words quickly).
