The inspiration was to get people outside and more active

What it does

ParkPal displays parks nearby in the following cities Fresno, CA Syracuse, NY NYC, NY

How we built it

ParkPal was built using react on the front end and flask on the back end to retrieve data

Challenges we ran into

Collecting data was a challenge after realizing Google Places API was out of my price range. I utilized the data given by Syracuse and learned other cities share their data as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

My biggest accomplishment was completing the project after spending many hours on the back end I wanted to give up, but I trusted my ability and solved my issues.
