Our team's unhappiness with various issues led to the creation of the Parko app. In busy cities and crowded places, we frequently encountered the difficult process of looking for parking spaces, a struggle that was extremely stressful and time-consuming, often resulting in delays and missed appointments. It became clear that difficulties with parking were a problem that many people dealt with regularly.

We concluded that current solutions for this pervasive issue were disjointed and ineffective upon careful consideration. Traditional parking apps lacked complete capabilities and frequently provided wrong or out-of-date information. This realization strengthened our resolve to develop a comprehensive and user-centric parking solution that would transform the way people park their cars.

An innovative parking solution that simplifies the entire parking process for users is the Parko app. Parko offers a variety of crucial features to address and simplify parking issues with its user-friendly design and cutting-edge technology. First off, it gives customers the option to choose the most efficient routes to their destinations, saving time and reducing stress. The software also makes it simple for parking lot owners to rent out their spaces, maximizing the use of parking spaces in congested locations.

Parko offers a straightforward booking system that enables vehicles looking for parking to browse and reserve spaces close to their destinations. Users can obtain precise parking information, such as availability and prices, thanks to real-time updates, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The app's history feature allows users to keep track of past bookings and rental history, adding transparency and convenience to their parking activity.

Moreover, Parko incorporates a digital wallet and introduces Parko Coins as a reward system, encouraging active participation and offering exclusive perks to users. With its comprehensive approach and commitment to continuous improvement, the Parko app revolutionizes the way people park, making parking a stress-free and efficient experience for all.

How we built it 👷🏻🚧

Hey there! Let me tell you the story of how we made the Parko app - it's quite a journey! We dived into Flutter, which was both exciting and challenging. Late nights turned into early mornings as we juggled studying, exams, and learning the ropes of this new technology.

We encountered our fair share of bugs - oh boy! We'd spend hours hunting them down, but it was all part of the adventure. And you know what? Your brainstorming sessions were epic! Your ideas truly sparked the magic that became Parko.

Sure, it was tough at times, but seeing the app come to life made it all worthwhile. Now, we're helping people find parking hassle-free! So here's to the sleepless nights, the ups, and downs - cheers to making it happen and making life easier for folks out there! 🎉

Challenges we ran into 🤚🏻🛑

During the development of the Parko app, we encountered a plethora of challenges, but we faced them head-on with a smile! Learning Google Maps API was a bit of a rollercoaster, but we embraced the opportunity to grow our skills. Oh, and Firebase bugs? They kept us on our toes, but we persisted until we conquered them all. Balancing studies and late-night coding was a challenge, and one teammate's surprise exams added a little twist. But together, we hunted down those elusive bugs and made Parko a reality, revolutionizing parking solutions. It's been an incredible journey!

Accomplishments that we're proud of 🏆 🔥

We are incredibly proud of the accomplishments we achieved with the Parko app. Overcoming the challenges of learning Google Maps API and tackling countless Firebase bugs showcased our determination and technical expertise. Successfully navigating through tight schedules and exams while working late nights demonstrated our commitment to the project. But the real joy comes from knowing that Parko is now helping countless users find parking hassle-free, making their lives easier and fulfilling our vision of transforming parking solutions.

What we learned 📖🤔

We learned, to manage time, (did I mention? that we were having a great experience talking on vc realtime while making the app, it looked like copilot but in real life), we learned how to properly fetch data, use queries, streams, subscriptions, geoflutterfire, google_maps_api, markers system, editing videos (demo video), and how to spend late nights.

OUR AIM 🔥✨

To revolutionize how people park their automobiles in big cities and crowded regions, we created the Parko app. Our team's irritation and discontent over the challenges we encountered while looking for parking spaces served as the catalyst for the entire project. The procedure was frequently time-consuming, upsetting, and it caused delays and missed appointments. We came to understand that this was a pervasive issue that affected a great number of people daily.

As we explored existing parking solutions, we discovered that they were disjointed and ineffective in addressing the core issues. Traditional parking apps lacked comprehensive capabilities and frequently provided outdated or inaccurate information, leading to further frustration for users. This revelation strengthened our resolve to develop a user-centric and all-encompassing parking solution that would simplify and streamline the entire parking process.

Our primary goal was to create a user-friendly app that would empower individuals to find parking spaces with ease and convenience. We wanted to eliminate the anxiety and uncertainty associated with parking in busy areas, giving people the freedom to focus on their commitments and activities without worrying about where to park their vehicles. With this vision in mind, we set out to design an intuitive interface that would cater to users of all ages and technological backgrounds.

The core feature of Parko was the integration of Google Maps API, which allowed us to provide real-time navigation and optimal route suggestions to parking destinations. By incorporating this advanced technology, we aimed to offer users the most efficient paths to their desired parking locations, reducing the time spent searching for a spot and minimizing stress.

Another critical aspect of our aim was to maximize the utilization of parking spaces in crowded areas. To achieve this, we devised a unique system that enabled parking lot owners to rent out their vacant spaces. By encouraging the rental of unused spots, we aimed to alleviate parking shortages and create a win-win situation for both drivers and parking lot owners.

We wanted Parko to be more than just a parking app; we aspired to be a comprehensive parking solution that provided all the necessary information and tools for a hassle-free experience. With a straightforward booking system, users could browse and reserve parking spaces close to their destinations. Real-time updates on availability and pricing ensured that users had accurate and up-to-date information, minimizing the risk of disappointment upon arrival.

Throughout the development process, we faced numerous challenges and obstacles, but our passion and determination never wavered. Late nights of coding and bug hunting became the norm, but we saw each challenge as an opportunity to grow and refine the app further. We also juggled our studies and exams alongside the app development, which tested our time management and dedication.

Our brainstorming sessions played a pivotal role in shaping the app's features and functionalities. Your ideas, dear team member, were instrumental in sparking creativity and innovation. They led us to incorporate unique aspects that set Parko apart from other parking apps.
